Need desperate help, booting vm sometimes results in black screen?

I've looked all over for a solution to my problem but nobody seems to be having the same issue.

First, some details:

I have a Dell XPS 9560, 4k resolution touch screen monitor, 32gb ram, i7-7700HQ @ 2.80GHz processor, Windows 10 PRO, 1TB SSD.

I am currently using VMWare Workstation 14.1.3 Pro build-9474260

If you need any other details I can supply them swiftly.

So I'm a Business Information Technology student, one of our classes this term is Server Admin.

We are required to have 4 VM's, all running Windows Server 2016.

Was able to install Windows Server just fine on all VM's using the ISO file.

Here's my problem, whenever I try booting up any of the 4 VM's, its basically a coin toss if it'll work or not. Sometimes, it will open just fine, other times, it will show that the VM is running since the green arrow is there. But nothing is clickable, its simply a black screen, even clicking the screen doesnt do anything. No windows logo, nothing. When I click, the cursor doesn't even enter the VM either, simply stays in the host. Also, powering off, suspending, or doing anything to the power settings of the broken VM renders it completely frozen and I am left with no choice but to close it via task manager. 1/10 times I'm able to open all 4 successfully but being that I'm in a fast paced school environment, I cant afford to wait 20 minutes for my VMs to open, and that's if I luck out.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.
