Use VCM to detect VM port group connectivity

Hello,

Has anybody ever attempted to use VCM to detect if a VM is connected to specific networks at the same time. For example, I am trying to work out a way to alert in the following scenario.

VM has 2 NICs

First NIC is connected to Production port group

Second NIC is connected to DMZ port group

This would violate security policies and therefore I need to send an alert if this is found.

I have used rules to locate vCenter - VMGuest - VirtualDevices using label and Device name with conditional rules but these do not work as expected.

Any ideas or inormation would be great.
