converter cli documentation

I've done some research and I can't find complete documentation on the cli version of the converter. It's pretty clear to me what I can do and how to do it using the gui, but I prefer using the cli. I've looked into some docs about the 3, 4 and 5 version of the converter and there are just sample xml files which are reducing as versions increment...
