OK well first off this is kinda a uniquie situation, well this is what we where trying to do.
First off I am not on sight with this server, and I have no remote access to it, I am working with my father who is on sight but doesn´t know must about Esxi.
We had a working ESXi 5 server, but we wanted to image the main hard drive because, it was an old drive and started to give off letency errors, so we wanted to replace it. I thought the eazyest way to do this would be to image the drive, So my father shut everything down, pulled out the hard drive, conected up to a spaire computer, and imaged it with Part Magic, everything went fine and succeded in the image. But when he pluged in the new drive, it will not boot. My dad saids when it boots up, it gets past post and then sits at a screen with a blinking curser. So he tried the old drive again and it did the same thing. I am not sure what to do at the moment. I am not in the US at the moment and don´t plan to return for another year, so we are kinda stuck with remote support at the moment.
So do you guys have any ideas? Is there a recue CD we could try. Would the origional Esxi cd help?
