Am getting this error in vCenter, running vCenter 7.0. Under Administration> Client Plugins its the 'com.vmware.vrUi' causing this issue, which seems to be for vSphere replication, which was once deployed but is now gone.

I am have installed andriod x86 on my VMware Workstation 15 Player.
I am using an app that requires my Laptop to NOT be charging otherwise I cant use this app.
Given I am using VMware I wanted to know if I can charge my host user laptop and within VMware the guest user would not know I am charging the device.
I am aware that VMware has an option to disable "report battery information to guest" but when I do this: by default the guest user enters a charging state which means i cant use my desired app. Is there any way i can change this default behaviour?

Vcenter 6.0 Service reported 503 error, unable to use SSH remote. Check that the vCenter space is full, SSH can be used after clearing part of the logs, and some services still cannot be started after using service-Control --start --all.Even after a single start, as long as you run vCenter, it will stop immediately.The following services will stop automatically：

The CVE Code Description：
When using the Apache JServ Protocol (AJP), care must be taken when trusting incoming connections to Apache Tomcat. Tomcat treats AJP connections as having higher trust than, for example, a similar HTTP connection. If such connections are available to an attacker, they can be exploited in ways that may be surprising. In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.30, 8.5.0 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.99, Tomcat shipped with an AJP Connector enabled by default that listened on all configured IP addresses. It was expected (and recommended in the security guide) that this Connector would be disabled if not required. This vulnerability report identified a mechanism that allowed: - returning arbitrary files from anywhere in the web application - processing any file in the web application as a JSP Further, if the web application allowed file upload and stored those files within the web application (or the attacker was able to control the content of the web application by some other means) then this, along with the ability to process a file as a JSP, made remote code execution possible. It is important to note that mitigation is only required if an AJP port is accessible to untrusted users. Users wishing to take a defence-in-depth approach and block the vector that permits returning arbitrary files and execution as JSP may upgrade to Apache Tomcat 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later. A number of changes were made to the default AJP Connector configuration in 9.0.31 to harden the default configuration. It is likely that users upgrading to 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later will need to make small changes to their configurations.

So how to solve this problem in vCenter 6.0？
I know 5.5 is old and out of support. But, we have 2 remaining 5.5 hosts which house production VMs. I'm trying to join these 2 hosts to a vcenter so I can migrate the VMs off of them. Problem is, no one at this company knows the root password for these hosts. So, I was hoping there was a way to reset the password. The procedures I have found seem to be for earlier versions (5.0 and earlier). I'm sure I am not the first person with this issue so, hopefully someone here can help.
As an alternate solution, I built a new 5.5 host and added it to the vcenter with the 2 referenced above. But, when trying to migrate I get the error listed below. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the latest version of VMware player (free). I have an OVA that requires VT-x/EPT and am running into this exact issue:
VMware Workstation does not support nested virtualization on this host.
I have a clean, updated version of Windows 10. I'm using the latest version of Player, Hyper-V is disabled. I see a number of people aren't having any luck on workarounds. Any updates?

I have a need to take a daily snapshot of a VM. I need to keep the snapshots for a set number of days. Usually 3 days is long enough, but sometimes the request is to keep for longer. I know I can take a snapshot using a PowerCLI script, and schedule it daily from a scheduled task. But can I automate the deletion of any snapshot over 3 days old?
I'm a PowerCLI novice, and don't currently have the skills to pull this off. So any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I plan to upgrade our vSphere Environment from existing 5.5 to vSphere 6.0 and then upgrade it again to vSphere 6.7.
In our environment there are:
- 1 vCenter 5.5 Windows (with external PSC and MS SQL 2012 for the database)
- Some ESXi 5.5 hosts
- vRealize automation 7.3
- SRM & vSphere Replication
The issue is with vCenter, because it's still windows based and I want to upgrade it to vCenter 6.0 Appliance. I don't have any experience regarding this, so I need your advice from you guys if you have any experience or procedure with a similar environment and condition.
Really appreciate for any help.
Ps: I already searched for some procedure from some webs on the internet, but I can't find any clear procedure

Hi guys, i'm in desperate need of help.
Yesterday I restarted my vmware esxi 6 server, one of the vm's was acting strange, so I first shut down all vm's, then went to maintenance mode, then used reboot option to reboot the server.
Server didnot reboot, instead it locked itself. what I mean is that it became unresponsive on vshpere client, then I went to the console / monitor and was unable to login using F2.
then I rebooted it using power button.
After that it didnot boot again. I get an error at the boot :
/lpfc.v00: file not found.
Fatal error: 15 (Not found).
I tried restarting few times, but nothing changes. 
This screen appears as soon bios is finished all checks, so I dont get any options / boot screens etc... this is first thing that comes on screen.
Please advise how to go from here. I'm out of options.

I have uninstalled VMware Fusion 7.1.0 Professional edition 3 times, emptied trash deleted all settings files as listed in KB article 1017838
installed Fusion 7.1.0 .. it somehow still gets my license keys and vminventory and when i go to Preferences > Network .. unlock to make changes but the entire settings area is still greyed out.
any clues or ideas on getting this fixed?
Is there any way to get an indication that plugin is going to be unregistered before, so that we can do some clean up?
Suppose, we have a logs created for the plugin which we have registered.
During unregister we want to clean the plugin's log directory.
Note: Register/Unregister is done using the extension-registration script provided in SDK.

what are the affects of rebooting composer server while users are online?
Just a couple of hours ago, I've updated from 15.5.1 (?) to version 15.5.5 of Workstation Pro.
I've been exited about this update, especially being able to use WSL2 on my developer system is a plus.
However, immediately after updating, I noticed a quite dramatic performance hit.
My mouse cursor doesn't even move fluently anymore, it hangs and stutters a lot.
I haven't installed Hyper-V related services yet.
Anyone else experiencing this?
System summary:
i9-10940X, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070.
Running Windows 10 1909 still.

I was used VMware Converter Standalone 6.0 to converter server 2003 on Hyper-V to host ESX of vCenter.
Hyper-V have IP : 10.132.2.200
vCenter have IP: 10.132.2.177
Host ESXi have IP : 10.132.2.192
We haven't policy firewall for 3 IP this. All ports are open in Firewall.
But, when I convertering 1% that have error with status : FAILED: An error occurred during the conversion: 'The operation experienced a network error'
So, Can you help me fix case this ?

I have vCenter appliance 6.7 3h and 6.5. And our security team told they have detected lighttpd version as 1.4.45 and need to update it.
Question 1: Can someone please tell me how to check the lighttpd version in vCenter ?
Question 2: And is it possible to upgrade it separately other than upgrading vCenter itself ?

We're looking for a way to have multiple people use the same iPad with the MS Teams app installed. We do not want User B to see User A's Teams data when User B logs in.
We're really hoping Shared iPad for Business solves this headache.
