accidentally I deleted the virtual Hard disk (SCSI) in vmware ( file name: melbar (2)-000003.vmdk ), have some way to recover the file ???
I deleted through vmware program, I try to recover using the software GetDataBack NTFS but he do not find the file .vmdk in the folder that he was.
I need help please !!! :-D

Block initialization Failed
Hi,
I had backup job failure and I found that one of the error said Block Initialization failed. Meanwhile, we found some connectivity issue to the datastore.
Is there any relationship between Block Initialization failed and disconnection of the datastore?
I found the following VMware.log for reference.

I have installed Windows 10 32 Bit in VMWare workstation 10.0.5 but am not able to install the network drivers for Windows 10. Could someone please share ideas on that

vmware horizon radius integration with two factor authentication
I have deployed vmware horizon view connection server (Evaluation/Trial version), i want to integrate it with two factor authentication server. But after configuring RADIUS parameters in admin portal of connection server, it’s not allowing me to save the settings. Please suggest.

I've changed my VSphere UUID in /etc/vmware/esx.conf. Then I rebooted. Now I see error - Lisence key has expired. Please install a valid license to use this product.

h i have installed vmware workspace 2.1 and in PackagedApps -thinApps i insert this path \\10.0.3.209\bin (i have shared bin folder ) but when i click on sync now this error appear

How to learn NSX load balance Application Rule?
HI friends,
I want to use NSX load balancer to proxy 2 domian servers of inside network and public them on one virtual server, then we could access the 2 servers with different domains name at the public to interface
F5 iRules could be easy to do this.
but I have done this as the chapter of Routing by domain name in Application Rule Examples there was some syntax errors of the NSX load balancer when add the application rules to the virtual server configuration.
could you give me some document about the syntax of the Application Rule.

I have been trying to fix the problem with VMware fusion. I have all my network interfaces greyed out. I have uninstalled and reinstalled like 5 times and event went to version 7 without any progress.

XLT and MDB files starts repair, on launching.
Hi,
I have packaged an application which has ".xlt" and ".mdb" files.
when I try to launch these files, it triggers the repair of MS-Office and it fails.
(rest of the application executables launch just fine except for the above mentioned files)
Can anybody help me with this.

Fusion and build 9926 of Windows 10, Window Resizing Issue
VVMware Fusion and build 9926 of Windows 10 has window resizing issue, in that the Win 10 window will not resize to the Fusion window.
ALso, installing tools goes into an infinite loop.
Parallels 10 has the same issues.

USB Drive will not mount in OSX Guest
I have a Yosemite (10.10.2) host with a Mavericks (10.9.5) guest in VMWare 7.
I have a seagate 3TB drive mounted on Yosemite.
I connect the seagate to the guest using the icon on the toolbar. The icon for the drive disappears off of the Yosemite desktop, but never appears on the Mavericks desktop.
In addition, it can not be seen in these places (on the guest) either:
1) in the sidebar of finder.
2) In /Volumes
3) In Disk Utility.
Here is what I tried:
1) I tried rebooting the guest several times.
2) I tried repair disk on the usb drive.
3) I tried disconnecting and connecting several times.
4) I tried unmounting it from the guest and host, then disconnecting and reconnecting while the guest was connected.
5) I tried looking in console for any errors related to the disk.
In summary:
It will appear as connected in the icon on the toolbar of vmware, but will not appear in the guest.
The contents of the disk is a Carbon Copy Cloner bootable image.

vCPU and Core provisioning
I know these questions have been asked a million times, but I'm having a hard time finding a definitive answer. Some clear-cut answers would be much appreciated!
What is the exact definition of a vCPU? For example, lets say I assign a VM 1 Socket and 16 cores, is that 1 vCPU with 16 cores, or 16 vCPUs?
Ignoring the semantics of Micro-optimization, is there any piratical benefit to 4, 1 core sockets over 1, 4 core socket?
How does ESXi schedule CPU utilization based on these settings?
