Hello, I am using a VSAN Cluster with 5 HP DL380 Gen9 Hosts - The Hardware including disks and Array Controller is on the HCL. I see a lot of messages like: PLOG: PLOGDefenceProbeInterval:5363: Throttled: PROBE_INTERVAL should > IO timeout. Using IO timeout value for probe interval. in the vmkernel log. voma  показывает что есть два подключения ... но ничего не фиксит.. хранилка синоложик дс1813+ подключенная по айскази. напрямую в серверные платы внутренняя локальная сеть между первым портом первого сервера и первым портом синоложика / и первым портом второго сервера и вторым портом синоложика.отключить ее возможности нет. перезагрузка не помогает

I want to setup a lab to prepare for my VCP55-DCV examination.  I have downloaded the ESXI55 and the Vsphere web client for V55, but I could not found the Vcenter 55 trail. Could anyone help me where I could download the vcenter 55 trial?  If you have any experience on how to setup the home lab for VCP55-DCV, please also share your valuable experience with me.

I am posting this to help somebody else to set up an ESXi Server with following hardware:

- Intel i7-4770

- Asus Z87-PRO

- Adaptec-6805E

To use on board I217-V Network Card and This particular RAID card, customized ISO will have to be created.

When installing, add "formatwithmbr" to the end of the command. Also, disable UEFI.

I'm trying to build a VMware View environment which includes a Security Server allowing secure access to resources from outside the corporate network.

I have successfully set up a View environment using a Connection Server, but am struggling with the principals of how to set up a DMZ and wondered if someone would mind answering a couple of questions for me:

My assumption is that the Security Server will have a public IP address only and the Connection Server will have a private IP address only. If this is the case, how will they communicate? will I have to set up port forwarding or NAT through the firewall?

Any help appreciated.

i have a Windows 10 guest on my 8.1 pro host.

With one of the latest updates of windows 10 (guest), there is no internet available.

My other guests (< w10) - all bridged as well - work fine.

In the hope to solve it, i upgraded my VMWare Workstation 10 to 11 but this was no help.

Still no internet connection.

(VMWare Tools are up to date)

The device manager in my windows 10 guest shows as network adapter <Intel(R) 82574L Gigabit Network Connection> without an error.

It is the only network adapter listed.

Switching to NAT is not working as well.

Any help appreciated.

Got my VCAP-DCA 5.5 on Tuesday (5 days) have the rest of the week off what would you recommend I do to prepare now?  So far I have ...

-      Read the official guide (about 95%, omitting the things that have been dropped in 5.5)

-      Tried to simultaneously perform the tasked outlined in the guide in my lab

-      Watched the Pluralsight Videos by Jason and another on PowerGUI (about %50 of the things that seemed relevant to the blueprint)

-      Ticked off about 98% of the checklist/spreadsheet outlining the blueprint

I would say my weakness is now Orchestrator and PowerCLI and speed in general (I'm typically a slow and careful type), do you have any recommendations/tips about what I should do in the next few days?

I have a Linux guest OS running in VMware Player.  When the guest OS starts, it tries to PXE-boot from the VMware DHCP server.  The guest OS never receives a response and times out with the message No DHCP or proxyDHCP offers were received.  This leads me to believe that the VMware DHCP service is not working.

On the Host Windows 7 machine, I see that the WMware DHCP Service service has a Startup Type of Automatic.  However, that service is not running.  When I manually start it, Windows shows a dialog box indicating that the service is starting, but then it quits after a few seconds and Windows displays a dialog that says The VMWare DHCP Service service on Local Computer started and then stopped.  Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.  What other service or program needs to be running?  VMware Player is running.  The VMware NAT Service is running.  What am I missing?

• Host OS is Windows 7 Enterprise

SQL 2012 SP2 was released in June, 2014. Tomorrow will be 1 year since it's been released...yet there is still no support?!

Last year we figured, ok...5.5 isn't going to get it. Surely 6.0 will support it. Nope!

What is the deal? Will it ever be supported? How many years will it take? I don't understand the massive delays. Ridiculous.

I have just installed Esxi on my Intel i7 Quad Core with 1TB HDD and 16G Ram. Installation was smooth however I am having issues connecting to Host.

Right after the boot I am able to ping the Host mgmt network for about a minute and it goes unresponsive then. I have checked the interface / mgmt network was up it just stops responding to ARPs.

Whenever I restart the host it stays up for couple of minutes and then is unreachable from my vmclient (or PC directly connected to host).

I am pretty new to this solution and have tried my luck searching through the database but haven't got definite answer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

6.0, in the LAB thankfully.  Last week I was setting up some test SQL vms with shared RDMs to test the FCI and vmotion enhancements.  Working as it should.  Well I was adding some more iSCSI storage today and made a change to the default PSP which required the host reboot.  After it came back up, I went to add my new iSCSI storage, and all the RDMS that are currently connected to my pair of SQL vms are available to add as storage (disk/LUN/VMFS datastore).  I double checked and I do not have any storage filters in place to "filter" the RDMs which can be set to false.  Its all default.  To me this seems odd, that could be a major issue in production, if someone were to claim a RDM in use for a VMFS datastore, thus wiping the LUN clean.  Has anyone seen this type of behavior in 6.0.

Just to be safe I changed my PSP back to Fixed - rebooted and the behavior remains.  Very odd and concerning - however that is the whole point of the lab.  Any input would be appreciated.

I have a QNX 6.5.0 vm which I downloaded pre-setup from QNX. The hard disk is emulated as IDE, setting it to another controller type does not boot the system.

What I try to do: I want to secure a virtual IDE disk with the common ATA passwords, master and user. But querying the virtual hard disk yields a  ATA security featues not supported.

Is there a way to use ATA passwords with vmware workstation?

I got Fusion up and running, now I would like to try a free trail of Windows 8.1 Pro.  Can anyone help me out with this?

I've a problem. I try to get an AMD W7000 working with vmware horizon view 6 in VDGA mode.

The OS is Win 7 x64, also tried Win 8.1 x64, still no luck. I have passed through the card successfully to the vm.

The view services are all up and running. I also can connect to the vm with the view client

but than all I got is a blank screen for some seconds and than the client disconnects

from the vm. I disabled the firewall of the VM and installed the latest VMware tools and AMD drivers.

I also added the "pci.hole=2048" commad to the vmx of the vm. As poolsettings I tried all combinations

of the renderer option(auto, deactivated, software...) nothing worked. In the view center all(certificates, vCenter...) is green.

Are there any log files I can browse to narrow down the problem?

Hello All, I have problem with vCenter 6.0

I have installed vCenter 6.0 with external Platform Services Controller.

When I worked in Web client I was seeing alert(warning), something like "vAPI health alarm".

Now I can't connect to Web client with error "A server error occurred.

And I can't connect to vCenter with vsphere client.

I tried restart vcenter services and got error

Then tried start vcenter sevice

After I reloaded two VMs (vCenter and PSC) It works little time(about 2-3 days).

Who know how resolve this problem?
