How to Set Goal of Life

How to set Goal in life and Why it is important to set Goal. What is the change comes in life by setting Goal. Today you will get the answer to every question.

Have you ever traveled When you travel somewhere, you have to take a ticket to where you have to go. If you go to the ticket counter and the ticket receptionist asks you where you want to go and you will say "nowhere", will you be able to go anywhere?

Similarly, if we want to get something in our life or to reach a destination, then we must first set up a goal of our life.

What is Goal?

Before setting the goal, let us know what the goal means. A goal is a predetermined task that a person tries to complete within a certain time frame. Different people set different goals in their life according to their wish, for example, if someone wants to become a cricketer, a singer a dancer or an artist.

Why It is Important to Set a Goal in Life:

Have you ever got a house built? Or ever seen a house being built? When we build a house, complete planning has to be done to get it built. If we do not do planning, then the structure of the house will become crooked.

The same thing applies to life too. If we do not plan about our life or do not set Goal, then our life will also become like a house without a proper structure. When we set goals in life, we know where we have to reach after a certain time and what we have to face to get there.

Psychology also says that people who have goals in their lives have the great enthusiasm in their lives and they are also more intelligent. People who have no goal in life, their lives are very boring and tasteless, they do not have any happiness in their lives and they always complain about their lives and blame others or their luck.

What to Do While Setting a Goal:

Friends, when we build a house, we plan everything where the bedroom should be, where should the kitchen be and in this way we prepare a complete map of the house and then decide how to decorate it. Similarly, while setting goals in our life, we also have to think a lot about various things. Let's see how we should set goals in our life.

Ask yourself some questions:

It is necessary to have a conversation with yourself before setting a goal. In this conversation, you have to ask yourself some questions such as what is the thing that you want to achieve within a set time period. And how long will it take to get that thing and what strategy has to be made, what challenges will come and how to deal with them. All these questions we have to ask ourselves before setting goals.

Create a road map:

The roadmap tells you what you need to do to reach a defined goal and what things you have to face. And you will also have to make a backup plan and if one of your plans fails, then you can switch to another plan. The roadmap will guide you to reach your goal. To create a roadmap, you can take help of someone who has already achieved the goal you want to achieve.

That person will tell you what the person did and what the challenges came to meet that goal and how he / she achieved that goal and you can also make your roadmap by following the same path. You can also take help of internet to create a roadmap.

Create weekly targets:

Small goals help you to reach big goals. If you make small weekly goals, then you will be able to achieve your big goals easily by the prescribed time period. And by setting goals every week, also make sure to observe your performance, for this you can take the help of weekly reports.

Follow the roadmap as much as possible:

The more you follow the roadmap, the greater your chances of being successful. To follow the roadmap successfully, you will have to put your 100% and this will be your biggest test.

Check your performance regularly:

Merely creating a road map and setting targets is not enough. We also have to observe and analyze the work we are doing regularly, which we can do by creating weekly reports. By making weekly reports, we can see if we are following the roadmap and if not, where there is a shortage, how can that deficiency be removed?

Celebrate your Little Achievements:

You can celebrate your small successes, such as giving a treat or a small party to yourself or family or to a best friend. By doing all this, you thicken yourself to achieve more and other people also thicken you.

Corrupt VMDK

Good Morning - a few months ago we had a power outage at work and my host machine ended up shutting off and my main Windows 10 VM no longer boots. I tried everything, to no avail. From my searching, it looks like someone here can help me, or at least point me in the right direction to be able to manually repair the VMDK files so I can get this machine to boot. I believe I have included the information that would be needed to help me!

yes I know I should have had a backup...

SEL fullness error, I get 5 "n/a" events a minute

I know it may not be a big deal but I want to get rid of this error. IOn one host in vCenter I get the SEL Fullness error and it throws a hardware

host status RED error. I have cleared the log numerous times but I would like to track down the cause of the n/a events. Out of 4 hosts on this vCenter

this is the only one that throws this error.

What else can I check?

Deletion of Snapshot Action & Result

$

To maintain sufficient free space on a provisioned virtual drive I need to delete a snapshot which is the "live" virtual instance currently running. According to my understanding of the tech article "Deleting Snapshots" listed below, deleting a snapshot merges all existing parameters, system states & current data to the parent snapshot or in this case the base image.

The vSphere client version we are using is ver. 5.5. I want to confirm that by deleting the current snapshot, it will merge the current "live" data with the base image so that the result is no live data is lost in the deletion of the current snapshot.

Appreciate any  insight for my question.

VMWare Workstation Slows Down When Saving State

I've got VMWare Workstation 16 Pro (16.0.0 build-16894299) and recently whenever I try to take a snapshot my computer will get extremely laggy. My mouse will jitter around if I try to move it and if I am listening to music it will get glitchy. Note this is outside of the VM on the host. Additionally, if I click the suspend button for the guest it will stop lagging and take the snapshot. It seems that while the snapshot process is in the background and not prioritized it slows down? If I open task manager there doesn't seem to be any bottle necking of my CPU / RAM.

SRM+vSphere Replication+Reprotect takes long time

$

Hello

This is the scenario, vSphere Replication to replicate VMs from site A to B, VMs protected with SRM and one VM is big

When a recovery plan is executed site B becomes the protected site, then we reprotect the VMs and site A becomes the new recovery site, during the reprotection of the VMs the replication is reversed  and the state of the VM changes to initial sync, this process with VMs that are big takes long time, in my case up to two days.

So, supposing the application hosted in the VMs does not work and we want to move the VMs back to the original protected site (A), The reprotect process fails becuase it times out due the initial sync takes longer that 4 hours and I do not rememer what is the status of the VM in the recovery plan but I belive it becomes green since it is protected and just the initial sync is running. I have not tried but I wonder.

Is is possible to try a recovery plan even thoguht the VM is still running its initial sync after reprotecting it?

I would guess not a supported one but Is there any other option to move the VMs back without waiting for its initial sync to finish?

Thanks in advance, regards

Task conflict with Update Manager

Hello,

we have an annoying issue when the Update Manager puts a host into maintenance mode.

- When vSphere Replication is enabled an "Install" task runs on the Host after entering Maintenance mode

- This Task conflicts with the install task from the vSphere Update Manager (another installation is in Progress)

The result is, that the Remediation if the Host fails.

Version:

- vSphere 6.7 Update 3 (Latest Build)

- vSphere Replication 8.3.1

Is there any workaround known?

Best wishes,

Markus

VM causes host to start freezing at seemingly random intervals.

I have recently started using VMware and have really enjoyed it thus far.

However, it seems that my Linux Mint 19 virtual machine will occasionally flash in the taskbar as if it was trying to notify me of something and then almost immediately begin causing my entire Windows 10 computer to begin skipping. I need to forcibly kill the VM and VMWare with the Task Manager, which is very difficult when your computer is chugging.

Lowering the number of resources the VM could use helped a bit when needed to kill the process, but it shouldn't be causing these random freezes in the first place.

Sometimes this happens after only 30 minutes of use, sometimes this doesn't happen or many many hours, and I have yet to find a predictable cause.

Could someone tell me where I can find logs that may explain the issue or if this a known issue, and how to resolve it?

Migration between isolated ESXi/vCenter environments (active snapshots)

We are migrating an active isolated sandbox environment (AD authentication, internal DNS, Exchange, Solarwinds, SQL, as well as some RH Linux 6.4 servers) from one ESXi/vCenter environment to another. This migration will all be offline as both environments are isolated. We have read and reviewed the documentation related to this process, but there is one item which cannot find any direct information on.

Prior to any major changes (including patch updates) we make snapshots of the virtual servers. For folks that have done offline migrations such as this, does it help to remove the snapshots before making the OVF?  We have a back and forth between some of the team about whether or not the presence may cause an issue at the migration end site.

All hosts within the source and target environments are running the same version/build of ESXi 6.5, and all of the servers in both locations are the same Compatibility - ESXi 6.5 (VM Version 13)

Thanks for the assist!

Path Differences Between Command line & running programs from Installbuilder on Mac

$

Hello Support,

Right now i am trying to set up properly git-lfs as part of my install process on the mac.  I've installed git successfully and installed git-lfs, so that it works correctly on the command prompt and git comands will work in installbuilder.  However either 'git-lfs' command or 'git lfs' are not found when invoked from <runProgram>  when i display the value of ${env(PATH)} within the installer i get:

${env(PATH)}:

/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin

versus from the command prompt:

echo $PATH

/usr/locabin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin

And since git-lfs is installed in usr/local/bin and that isn't included in the installbuilder version of the path I think that is the problem.  My question is why are these 2 variables different, and how can i change the path within installbuilder?

I've tried both <setEnvironmentVariable> & <addDirectorytoPath> to try to modify the path but neither seem to have an effect.  Also note i am turning on the flag <requireInstallationByRootUser> so i can have admin privileges for my installer, not sure if that is relevant to.this issue or not.

Thanks,

Jeff

Reloading Path variable during installation

$

I'm designing my installer and one of the first steps in installation is installing Git if it isn't already detected on the system by downloading and running the Git installer in silent mode.  Then git is used in subsequent steps to pull down archives that are extracted.  This all works well except when git must be first installed.  after git is installed, git is still not included in the path variable,  so the clone actions fail.  Is there a way to reload the path variables midway during installation?  RIght now my workaround is to abort all subsequent components after the git install and ask the user to run the install again.  Then everything goes smoothly, but this isn't ideal.

Accessing some Text during initialization phase of the Installer

$

I am trying to post a notice with a block of text right after the welcome but before the license agreement.  I have this working as I want using a parameterGroup/infoParameter and using <insertAfter>welcome</insertAfter>, the only problem is that i am reading the textfile from my local filesystem, not from within the installer, so of course it won't work on another system.

How can i set a text variable that can be used by the installer either during the build phase, or access a text file that is part of the distribution well before components are loaded?  This needs to accessed well before the components are selected, before the license agreement is accepted. i don't see any way to add a file out side of the components.    setting an installer variable during the build process doesn't work, since the variable is not still defined when im running the installer.  i could imagine embedding the text in the xml would work, but it is too long and may need to be updated separately, so that i not desirable.  how can this be achieved?

Can't share Mac folders with Centos 8 VM.

I have clicked 'Enable Shared Folders' but a warning says "Shared folders will not be available in the virtual machine until VMware Tools is installed and running".

In the "Virtual Machine" menu, "Reinstall VMware Tools" is greyed out.

In the VM, I did 'yum install open-vm-tools openvm-tools-desktop' which appeared to go hunky-dory. I can indeed see both packages listed when I do 'yum list'. However, 'systemctl start open-vm-tools' gives me "Failed to start open-vm-tools.service: Unit open-vm-tools.service not found."

I bought a pro license which I believe came with 3 months support or something, but so far I have been completely unable to open a support ticket. Getting very   .

How to control the outbound traffic for vMotion to not saturate the link.

$

Hi,

We have an old ESXi host with 4 1G uplinks for vMotion and have a new ESXi host connected to the Nexus switch with 10G uplink. We are planning to migrate the virtual machines from old esxi to new esxi over vMotion Network with Multi-NIC configured to increase the transmission rate, however, we want to limit the vMotion traffic to the switch so that vMotion could not saturate the link. Could you please recommend any solution here as we have no enterprise license to use DvS to enable NIOC.

The switch we are using is Nexus 3000 Series.
