I have successfully upgraded 2 out of the 3 vCenter's that are connected in Enhanced Linked Mode. The third vCenter server is failing validation in Upgrade Stage 2.What am I missing?

Unity: Build a customized start/applications menu or maybe use a dock application?
Hi:
I'm starting to work more and more with a Windows 10 guest on a Windows 10 host. I'm using Unity mode.
Is there any way to do any of the following:
1) Customize the start/application menu? I don't need every application that is showing up the current menu. I just want to have specific applications and a shortcuts to the shell:AppsFolder and ms-settings: .
2) Does anyone know of a Windows dock (RocketDock, ObjectDock, etc) that will work in Unity mode? I've tried a couple and none of them will appear in a window on the host when launched and set to not hide.

Creating a new vm using existing disk - option not available in 6.7?
I posted earlier on issues I was having recovering a ubuntu vm running on Esxi6.7 under Vspher 6.7 control
The vm is bootable but only via EFI -> "Boot from File" suggesting corrupted .vmx
One suggestion was to create a new vm ( not Register) and point to the existing disk as explained here
This option does not seem to exist whether accessing the esxi server directly or going via vsphere. Anyone know how I can point to my vmdk?

CentOS8 login delay of about 25-30 seconds
Hi,
I am running Horizon 8.0 and I have a test CentOS 8 pool. I do notice a 25-30 second login delay. According to the logs this is where the delay happens:

Google says to remove the vgfs package, but that renders the OS unusable. Has anyone ran into this problem with CentOS8?

en host HP de dos lun una no la veo en vsphere.

El escenario: Un servidor HP DL 385 g6 con una controladora Raid con dos bahias para 4 discos cada una. Es antiguo pero solo está para réplicas de veeam.
En la información de la iLO aparece que el firmware del Backplane 1 es 1.16 i el del backplane2 es 1.14.
Estaba instalado esxi 5.1 y veía perfectamente los dos raid. Los dos eran raid10. He actualizado a 5.5 para ser coherente con el otro servidor (el principal).
En el servidor he creado de nuevo los raid pero esta vez raid5. En el servidor los dos raid aparecen como correctos.
Desde vSphere client , accediendo al vcenter intento crear los datastores añadiendo las LUN.
Solo veo la que está en el backplane2. La otra (en el backplane1) no la veo y no la puedo añadir como datastore.
¿Qué puede estar sucediendo?

WorkSpace ONE Intelleigent Hub enrolment error
Hi, I have a problem with some of the Windows 10 enrollment, when I try to enroll some of the windows 10 devices through Worspace One Intelligent Hub. it doesn't work. Most of the Windows 10 computer are working fine only few are having following issue
Enrollment Certificate not found.

unknown collector
I have a Skyline Collector showing 'Unknown'. I know this no longer exists and I also see that 'You can only deregister a collector which is in the inactive state'.
How do I go about removing the unknown collector from my Skyline config?

Specific Vmware is not starting
Hi I am using using vmware workstation 10 and suddenly one of my virtual machine is not starting up. I am getting error as (The parent virtual disk has been modified since the child was created. The content ID of the parent virtual disk does not match the corresponding parent content ID in the child). Is there any way to solve this and recover data.

VM SCSI Controller in vSAN
I'm trying to find an answer on whether it is recommended to use the VMware Paravirtual SCSI Controller in a vSAN environment, or if the default LSI Logic SCSI controller should be used. I have a four node vSAN cluster (each node obviously has DAS storage for the vSAN datastore) in a DellEMC VxRail. The Guest OSes will all be either WS2012 R2 or WS2016 in vSphere 6.5. From what I've read:
- The PVSCSI Controller IS recommended for SAN environments
- The PVSCSI Controller IS NOT recommended for DAS environments
But we technically don't fit into either category. Can anyone help with a definitive answer?

"Install failed" prompt without any description
Hello everyone,
I've a problem installing VM Horizon Client. When I try to install the application, I get this message: "Install Failed"
I tried these steps without any success:
- Tried to turn off windows defender, my antivirus, windows firewall, antivirus firewall and any other
- Tried to get read/write permission to the hosts file
- Disabled the checkbox for HTML, Media, Team
None of the above solutions worked for me.
I've attached my installation .log file for more information.
May you please help me how to resolve this problem?

Cannot create VMFS Datastore on newly installed ESX 6.5 (Licensed)
Hi,
we have a new Dell PowerEdge R730xd server setup and preconfigured with DellEMC Customized Image ESXi 6.5 Update 1 A08 (based on ESXi VMKernel Release Build 7388607) .
I am using VSphere Essentials License.
Without any changes, I logged into the Vsphere Web Interface /ui/#/host and attempted to create a new VMFS datastore but got an error:
Failed to create VMFS datastore test - Cannot change the host configuration.
SPECS Used:
Name: Test
Devices: 1 x 10TB Virtual Disk (Raid 10 x 4 Physical Disks) setup by Dell.
Size to create VMFS datastore: 1 TB
VMFS Type: Both VMFS 5 and 6 failed in separate tests.
No other existing datastores or VM's.
Contacted Dell but awaiting response and as it ESX they may not help.
As we need this server setup ASAP I was wondering if anyone knows of any resolutions or a point in the right direction with this.
I have used ESX different flavors for years and never seen this before.
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
I also have limited command line experience.

Save Failed - Add/Edit Application Assignment
Hello All,
I am experiencing an issue while adding and editing app assignments. I recently upgraded WS1 from 1907 to 2001 patch 25. Post upgrade, everything is working except application assignments. I get "Save Failed error" every time. I cannot even edit the existing assignments and change the license allocation. It does not matter what kind of application it is or what platform it is for. It just fails every time.
VPP and APNs are fine. Test Connection Over HTTP/2 - Successful.
Any suggestions ? Anyone knows of API calls to add and edit applications ?

I have a profile set up for our iPads to connect automatically to a predetermined SSID. I would like to add another location (new Wi-Fi controller) with the same SSID, but I forget the password. Is there a way to retrieve that from the profile?

SRM array based Multi site Configuration with array pair recoverpoint sra
Hello,
I need help for configuring my environnement.
I have on my protected site 3 Array unity with 3 recoverpoint appliance, replicated volums on the secondary site with recovepoint and one vnx 5800.
I have already installed on each site one VCenter and SRM VM.
Now, i was able to create "array pair" with one unity and vnx 5800, but i can't do the same job for the other unity and the vnx 5800
Can someone have an idea?

Unable to get copied disk to automatically boot
Hi,
I'm having a difficult time getting a copied vmx and vmdk running Ubuntu on Vmware 6.7 (esxi and vsphere) to boot.
Registering the vm by pointing at the vmx file fails and I have to drop down to EFI and boot from file in order for the disk to boot. Obviously, this is not a great solution because booting will always require manual intervention
I thought I had found the solution by Creating a new vm with identical settings and pointing to the existing hard disk. This goes straight to dhcp boot ( as it did not find the boot drive). Switching to EFI and again booting from file is the only way I can bring the system up
It looks like the boot disk has lost its boot block but I'm not sure how to re-add this in vmware
